IPMS Tidewater is a chapter chartered under the International Plastic Modeling Society (IPMS) – USA. Our goal is to cultivate an interest in the hobby of plastic modeling and support those that already do. As part of this effort we as a club continually endeavor to provide to our members the techniques, information, data, and any other form of assistance we can to help each person raise their knowledge, awareness and workmanship.

IPMS Tidewater has been meeting as a club since 1965 and has a long and distinguished history. Our strength is our openness – newcomers and guests are always welcome. Another strength of our club is the willingness of our members to share our skills with the other members of the club and guests alike. You will find us diverse in our interests and modeling skills. Our collective interests include the modeling of aircraft, armor, automobiles, figures, and ships. We boast quite a few nationally and internationally recognized modelers, some of whom have done professional work including models for film and television.
